Japanese manga artist Takehiko Inoue, best known for basketball manga "Slam Dunk," is in Korea.
News of his visit broke out when Korean underground musician Make-1, with DJ group 360 Sounds, saw that Inoue posted a photograph of food with the words 'a chicken' underneath on his Twitter account late on Monday and Make-1 went to the restaurant he guessed that Inoue had taken the picture at.
At the restaurant, he asked the manga artist for an autograph and Make-1 posted photos of Inoue signing his autograph and the autograph accompanied by a drawing of the main character of "Slam Dunk" on his own Twitter account.
It then got known that Inoue is in Korea to cover the 2011 Goyang International Wheelchair Basketball Federations (IWBF) Asia Oceania Championships, the regional preliminaries for the London Para Olympics 2012.
He is currently publishing a manga series basketball for persons with a lower limb disability.
Inoue, 44, made his debut in manga magazines in 1988 although achieving fame with his 1990 to 1996-published series "Slam Dunk" which sold over 100 million copies in Japan alone.

The manga was a mega-hit in Korea and sold to other countries overseas as well.
