"Protect the Boss" confirmed for 2 more episodes

SBS TV series "Protect the Boss" has been extended by two more episodes, the broadcaster has said.

An official with SBS told 10Asia on Friday that they have decided on the extension of the Wednesday and Thursday primetime show due to the continued favorable response it has received by viewers.

Originally a 16-part drama, "Boss" has maintained steady viewership ratings since its run in early August, staying in the No. 2 spot against its competitors "The Princess' Man" and "Hate to Lose."

Starring Ji-sung, Choi Kang-hee, Wang Ji-hye and Kim Jae-joong, "Boss" tells about Noh Eun-seol (Choi)working as a secretary at a law firm where she meets her immature boss named Cha Ji-heon (Ji Sung).

With the extension, "Boss" will wrap up on September 29 and follow-up drama "A Tree with Deep Roots" (translated title) will premiere on October 5.
