Actor Yoon Si-yoon is in Japan to promote his TV series "Bread, Love and Dreams," his agency Taxi Entertainment said on Tuesday.

Taxi said through a press release that Yoon, who flew into the country last Friday for a week-long stay, is promoting his smash hit Korean TV show which went on air on Japan's Fuji TV starting July 14.

For his first promotional activity, held in Tokyo on Saturday, Yoon held the inauguration ceremony for his official Japanese fanclub, a hand-shaking session and autograph session.

Then the following day, he took part in a summer event hosted by Fuji TV which was attended by some 3,000 of his fans.

He also participated in a charity bazaar through which he sold his prized possessions and donated all proceeds to Japan's earthquake relief.

For the rest of his visit, Yoon will meet with some two dozen Japanese magazines and newspapers for interviews.

Yoon, 24, debuted in 2009 with MBC’s sitcom “High Kick 2,” rose to stardom last year as the male lead in “Bread, Love and Dreams” (KBS, 2010) which breached viewership ratings of 50 percent and won him second prize in acting in the area of special drama production at KBS' year-end awards.
