Several K-pop artists have entered within the top ranks of a music chart in Germany, according to its website on Monday.
Female idols 2NE1's "I am the Best," MBLAQ's "Mona Lisa" and BEAST's "Fiction" positioned themselves sequentially in first to third place on German's music channel VIVA's "Viva Clip Chart" during the fourth week of July.
Other notable entries on the list included six-member boy band 2PM's "Hands Up" at No. 45, new male idols HITT's "Good Night" in 50th place, Block B's latest "Tell Them" at the No. 60 spot, Big Bang's hit song "Tonight" in 81st place and Super Junior sub-group Super Junior-M's hit tune "Perfection" at the 70th slot.
2NE1, formed of members Park Bom, CL, Sandara Park and Minzy, will be their second mini-album, featuring their title tracks "Don't Cry," "Lonely," "I am the Best" and new song "Hate you," on July 28. They are also preparing for their upcoming three-day concert "NOLZA" next month.
MBLAQ, composed of members Seung-ho, G.O., Lee Joon, Cheon-dung and Mir, made their return to the local music scene with third mini-album "Mona Lisa" and have been busy promoting the title track of the same name on various televised music programs since its release in mid-July.
BEAST have promoted title tracks "Fiction" and "On Rainy Days" from their first full-length album "Fiction and Fact" before kicking off their Asia tour.
2PM is known as one of the most popular boy bands in Korea and several other countries in Asia since their debut in 2008. The boys recently wrapped up their promotional events for song "Hands Up" and will focus on their activities in Japan with the release of their second Japanese single "I'm your man."
HITT, standing for 'Here Is The Top,' is formed of members Ha-yong, Jun-taek, Hyun-jun, Ho-won, Woo-ram and Jae-hoon, have been making a number of appearances on music shows with their debut album "Here Is The Top."
Block B made their comeback with their first mini-album "New Kids On the Block" on June 23 which features a total of eight songs including their title track "Go and Tell."
Discovered and trained by top major talenthouse YG Entertainment, Big Bang made their debut in 2006 and has since released a number of albums and hit songs. They are currently taking a break from their activities after completing their concert tour in Japan in May.
Super Junior-M, composed of other members Siwon, Donghae, Henry, Zhou Mi and Sungmin was first formed in April 2008 as the third sub-unit of Super Junior, dedicated to Chinese fans in the region.
