Korean girl group 2NE1 celebrated their win on cable music channel Mnet's singles chart during the week of June 27 to July 3 with their latest song "I am the Best."
2NE1 scored their first win on the music chart, stepping up two slots from the previous week and pushing former week's winner boy band 2PM down the chart.
"I am the Best" by the quartet has taken over the top spot on a number of online music charts upon its release on June 24. The new song is the third track revealed from their upcoming mini-album set to go on sale on July 21 which will include previous singles "Don't Cry" and "Lonely."
T-ara's latest tune "Roly Poly" made its debut in second place on the singles chart while previous winner 2PM's "Hands Up" followed behind at the No. 3 spot.
On the albums chart, the special release by MBC's variety show "Infinite Challenge" which contains songs by its cast and selected singers, claimed the title of best-selling record last week, while a number of its songs placed within the top 20 of Mnet's single chart.
Former winner "I'm A Singer Competition 5-1: Choosing My Own Song” slipped down a notch to No. 2, while 4Men's fourth album "The Artist" maintained its position in third place.
