Seven-member Korean girl group Rainbow will debut in Japan in September, according to their agency DSP Media on Tuesday.

DSP announced through a press release that the girls will advance into the Japanese music market with Universal Music Sigma, a branch of Universal Music Group, which currently manages the career of their labelmate KARA's singing career in Japan as well.

Their single "A" which they released in Korea last summer, will be the girls' debut single in Japan set for release in three months time.

Rainbow, formed of members Kim Jae-kyung, Oh Seung-a, Koh Woo-ri, No Eul, Jung Yoon-hye, Kim Ji-sook and Cho Hyun-young, made their debut in November 2009 with their single "Gossip Girl."

Most recently, they released their second mini-album "So女" from which they promoted the title track "TO ME" produced by famed Japanese music producer, composer and DJ Daishi Dance.

They are now in preparations to promote another song from the album as well as readying for their activities in Japan by recording their single and shooting the music video for it.
