The 12th Korea-China Song Festival will take place in Seoul today, participated by top idol groups from both countries.

This year’s festival will take place at Yeouido Hall in Seoul, following last year’s festival that was held in Qingdao of China and will be televised via KBS1TV in Korea on December 12 and through CCTV in China.

Korean groups taking part in this year’s festival include U-Kiss, Girls’ Generation, Kara, SHINee, Shin Seung-hoon and Lena Park and from China, artists Sunnan, Han Hong, Wang Feng and Hit-5 among others.

Seven-member boy band U-Kiss in particular will perform to Korean singer Ahn Jae-wook’s song “Friends” in collaboration with their Chinese counterpart Hit-5.

The annual song fest, co-hosted by two aforementioned state-run broadcasters, has been taking place alternately in the two countries for over a decade to promote bilateral cultural exchange.
