Girls' Generation gears up for comeback with "Oh!"

Korean pop group Girls' Generation is gearing up for a splashing comeback with their new album "Oh!", according to a press release by SM Entertainment on Friday.

The nine-member girl band will be kicking off their activities with a performance on MBC music show "Music Central" tomorrow, where they will be singing their title track "Oh!" and another tune titled "Show! Show! Show!" from their second full-length album. The group is also set to appear on SBS' "Inkigayo" the next day.

"We are really happy and excited to meet [fans] again with a new song and performance," the group was quoted as saying.

The group has already racked up 150,000 orders for their second album which was released yesterday.

They even topped various online charts, prior to the album release, with teaser videos, digital sound source and music video to the single "Oh!" which received over 100,000 hits in two hours of its showing on multimedia portal GomTV.

Girls' Generation -- composed of Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun -- was created and trained by South Korea's major talent agency SM Entertainment.

The success of their debut album "Girls' Generation" and subsequent mini-albums "Gee" and "Tell Me Your Wish", which had all sold over 100,000 copies each, made them a household name in Korea and throughout Asia.
