Asano Tadanobu to perform in Korea

Japanese actor and musician Asano Tadanobu is set to visit Korea for a musical performance on December 31, according to a report on Thursday.

The actor will perform at a New Years Eve party to be held at Seoul's Club Eden next Thursday afternoon alongside popular radio DJ and all-around entertainer Bryan Burton-Lewis.

Tadanobu, 36, debuted in 1990 in the movie "Swimming Upstream" and has since worked with some of the most notable filmmakers in the Japanese film industry including Kurosawa Kiyoshi, Iwai Shunji, Miike Takashi and Aoyama Shinji.

Some of his films -- such as "The Taste of Tea", "Sad Vacation" and "Cafe Lumiere" -- showed in Korea as well.

Tadanobu once worked as DJ and was a member of music band Peace Pill. He has also directed television commercials, short films and full-length movies over the years.
