Major Korean talent firm JYP Entertainment is facing another fine due to its irregular use of New York office in the United States. The entertainment firm's New York office is belatedly known to have received a violation notice for illegally using the first floor as a music studio, NYC Department of Building’s website showed Wednesday. The three-floor building located in midtown Manhattan only allows office rents, and based on Environment Control Board's fine grades the firm may face fine of between 1,200 U.S. dollars to 10,000. The case is currently pending a hearing scheduled on November 1 but it may not be so easy for the firm's C.E.O Park Jin-young to avoid responsibility this time. JYP Entertainment has already paid a total of $15,000 from eight violations so far, all under the construction violation, including 2010's illegal use of the space as housing for the Wonder Girls.JYP Entertainment, established by the Korean musician in 1997, has been one of the most successful talent agencies here by discovering and managing K-pop idols such as Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM and miss A.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
