Shinhwa sells out comeback concert in 40 minutes

Fans have snatched up all tickets to Korean boy band Shinhwa's upcoming concert, according to a press release from their agency Shinhwa Company. On Tuesday, Shinhwa Company announced that all 20,000 tickets to Shinhwa's concert "THE RETURN," which will take at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul for two days starting March 24, sold out within 40 minutes of going on sale yesterday. "We thank all the fans that have waited for our return and we hope that this concert will be a gift to them for always showing their support and love," Shinhwa member Eric said in the statement. Meanwhile, the group is currently recording songs for their tenth full-length album as well as preparing for their concert. The boys will also take their concert overseas with shows in Japan, China and several countries in Southeast Asia. Shinhwa, one of Korea's most popular boy bands since their debut in 1998 which also gained recognition overseas a few years later, had put a halt to their singing career as a six-man band in March 2008 to pursue individual activities and join the military to complete the two-year duty required of all Korean men.While Eric, Kim Dong-wan, Jun Jin and Andy have fulfilled their military duties and Shin Hye-sung is exempt from serving his duties for medical reasons, Lee Min-woo will be discharged from his post next month.
