Rainbow to kick off unit activities as a trio

Three members of girl group Rainbow are revving up for their activities as a trio starting this month, according to a press release from their agency DSP Media on Tuesday.DSP unveiled a teaser image featuring the silhouette of the trio who will kick off their singing activities under the name Rainbow Pixie although the members to it will be revealed on a later date. Rainbow Pixie will show a cuter side to Rainbow's originally sexy image while the three will release their title track "Hoi Hoi" on January 12 and give their first performance on MBC's music program "Music Central" two days later.As a group, Rainbow -- composed of members Kim Jae-kyung, Oh Seung-a, Koh Woo-ri, No Eul, Jung Yoon-hye, Kim Ji-sook and Cho Hyun-young -- made their debut in 2009.The girls have been focusing on their singing activities in Japan after they found success in the country with their debut single "A" which placed atop the prestigious Oricon chart in September.
