김지현에 있어 기본적인 관심은 현실과 이상, 의식과 무의식, 현상과 실체, 안의 것과 밖의 것이 이분법적으로 확연히 나뉘어 있지 않고 서로 연결되며, 지양(止揚)된다는 점이다. 즉 서로 모순 대립을 보이는 듯하나, 이를 넘어 더 높은 차원으로 나아가는 것이다.In the eyes of artist, Kim, Ji-hyun, The basic concerns are the things in which reality and ideal: consciousness & unconsciousness: phenomenon & entity and the inner things and outer things are not clearly divided but linked with each other and sublated. 속과 겉, 안과 밖이 대조를 이루고 날개의 비상을 통해 새로운 차원으로 고양된다. 음과 양, 남과 여의 갈등과 대립이 날개의 비상을 통해 지양되고 소통된다.The surface & the inside and in & out form a contrast respectively and they are sublated into a new level through the soaring of wings. 그의 작품은 상징적인 여러 요인들이 강한 대비를 이루면서 날개를 통해 승화됨을 보여준다. 희망과 이상으로 묘사된 바다와 꽃, 구름이 그러하다. 그의 작품에서 바다는 빛의 삼원색(三原色)으로 표현되어 희망을 상징한다.Viewers can see several symbolic factors, forming a striking contrast with each other, in his works being elevated through wings. Sea, flowers and clouds described as hopes and ideals are the case. The sea in his works is expressed in the three primary colors of light, symbolizing hopes.
