SuperstarK 2 Huh Gak’s “Always” comes first in weekly music chart

“Always” sung by Huh Gak topped the list of the cable music channel Mnet's singles chart during the first week of November. The 25-year-old singer, formerly a repairman who became the winner of Mnet's singing competition SuperstarK 2 two weeks ago, saw his career take off to a flying start as shown by the chart for the week between November 1 to 7. "Always," Huh’s debut song about pledging true love forever, is also the same song that Huh sang in the finale episode of the contest which won him 200 million won in prize money, a car and a chance to release his own album.The previous week’s winner “You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls,” a ballad song by boy band 2AM, slid down to second place and the No. 3 spot was claimed by another ballad song titled “Dazzling Tears” by a male duo “December” composed of vocalists Yoon-hyuk and DK. On Mnet's weekly album chart, no change was detected in first and second place from two weeks ago, keeping 2AM’s first regular album "Saint o'clock" on top of the chart and hip-hop singer PSY’s fifth album “PSYFIVE” at second place.
