Super Junior sweeps music charts in Taiwan

Korean idols Super Junior has taken Taiwan's music industry by storm, topping the country's online music charts for several weeks. According to Taiwan-based weekly online music chart KKboX (//tw.kkbox.com) on October 24, "BONAMANA," the title track from the group's fourth album of the same name, has remained in the No. 1 slot for 21 consecutive weeks since entering the chart on June 6. "BONAMANA" also placed in first on KKboX's weekly top 100 Korean and Japanese pop chart during the week of October 17 to 23, while taking over the monthly chart in the same category for four straight months from June to September. Meanwhile, the group had previously claimed the top spot on KKboX's chart for 36 straight weeks with their title track "Sorry, Sorry," also the name of their third album, as well as ranking first for 34 consecutive weeks on Taiwan's ezpeer+ site. Super Junior, created and managed by major talenthouse SM Entertainment, has been one of the most popular K-pop acts in Asia since their debut in 2005 and have numerous hits such as "Don't Don," "U' and "Show Me Your Love." They kicked off their "SUPER SHOW 3" tour in Seoul in mid-August and recently performed in Beijing. They will continue onto other cities including Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Manila.
