'Bread, Love and Dreams' smashes 40 percent mark

No. 1 show in the country "Bread, Love and Dreams" [KBS]

KBS' baking drama "Bread, Love and Dreams" drew in more audiences this week, breaking the 40 percent mark on both TV charts for the first time since airing in early June. Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Friday revealed that "Bread" scored ratings of 42.5 percent on August 4 and rose by 1.9 percent the next night, making it the No. 1 show in the country for the ninth consecutive week. AGB Nielsen Media Research also indicated that the show breached the 40 percent line with viewership ratings of 39.5 percent on Wednesday and 40.5 percent on Thursday. This week's episode showed the reunion of Tak-koo (Yoon Si-yoon) and Yoo-kyung (Kim Eugene) after two years. Meanwhile, SBS' "Bad Boy" came in second place with ratings in the eight to ten percent range on both charts and MBC's war epic "Road No. 1" trailed far behind with ratings in the five percent range.
