Korean actor No Min-woo has confessed the difficulties of playing a top singer-dancer in his upcoming TV series, “Full House Take 2.”
The former member of rock band Trax recalled memories of practicing dance moves to play an idol group’s member, at the drama's press conference at Seoul's SBS Prism Tower on Thursday.
“I was confident about playing the role of a singer because I was in band before starting my acting career. But dancing while singing was a totally different job. Park Ki-woong and I looked just like two old men when we started practicing the dance moves,” No said with a shy smile.
The “Midas” star continued, “after one and half month of struggle, I've gotten a bit closer to the role. I also referred to TV music shows to find out what kind of gestures K-pop singers make and how they act out on the stage.”
The sequel to Song Hye-gyo and singer Rain's “Full House" (KBS, 2004) centers around a hapkido teacher Jang Man-ok [played by Hwang Jung-eum] and top idol group TAKE ONE--formed of Lee Tae-ik [played by No] and Won Kang-hwi [played by Park Ki-woong].
Man-ok, whose name means “full house” in Chinese characters, gets hired as a stylist of TAKE ONE and moves in to the two top stars' luxurious house Tae-ik inherited from his father. The three slowly begin to fall into a love triangle.
The romantic comedy is co-produced by three production firms each from Korea, Japan and China. It will hit the airwaves here on SBS Plus on October 22 and in Japan on TBS October 29.
