MBC TV series “Golden Time” ended its two-month run atop the Monday and Tuesday primetime ratings chart.

“Golden Time” stretched its winning streak for the tenth straight week on the ratings chart after posting an average of 13.3 percent during the last week of September, according to data polled by TNmS [Total National Multimedia System] Wednesday.

Starring actor Lee Sun-kyun and actress Hwang Jung-eum, the last episode of the drama left a strong impression to the audience by portraying how the patients whom Choi In-hyuk [played by Lee Sung-min] and Lee Min-woo [played by Lee Sun-kyun] treated before recover their health and get back to their daily lives.

Following the series that has captivated the audiences hearts, “Maeui” [in Romanized Korean] is scheduled to kick off its run on October 1.

Helmed by famed director Lee Byung-hoon of “Jewel in The Palace” (MBC, 2003-2004), the historical drama goes around veterinarian Baek Gwang-hyun [played by actor Cho Seung-woo] becoming a royal physician in the Joseon Dynasty period.

In the meantime, KBS’ rom-com “Haeundae Lovers” ranked No. 2 on the chart with the support of 11.1 percent of the viewers and closed its curtains this week.

Though “Haeundae Lovers” showed a continuous drop in its ratings during the run, the Kim Kang-woo and Cho Yeo-jung starrer came to a happy ending with the No. 2 title on the primetime ratings chart.

The broadcaster will now fill in the Monday and Tuesday primetime slot with “Ulala Couple.” The comedy drama focuses on a married couple in their 40s--Nam Il-seok [played by actor Shin Hyun-joon] and his wife Ahn [played by actress Kim Jung-eun]--who find themselves getting tired of their marriage.

SBS’ historical fantasy “The Faith,” starring actor Lee Min-ho and actress Kim Hee-seon, sat in the last place after recording 10.5 percent.

On the AGB Nielson Media Research chart, the three series were placed in the same order but recorded slightly different numbers.

While "Golden Time" dominated the chart with 14.1 percent, "Haeundae Lovers" and "The Faith" followed next with 10.3 and 9.4 percent, respectively, during the same time frame.
