Korean actor Kim Rae-won’s new movie has wrapped up its six-month shooting in Broadway, New York.
Kim’s upcoming human drama tentatively titled "Super Star" had its final shooting in New York’s Broadway on September 16, Korea's distribution firm CJ E&M said in a press release Monday.
The film that goes around the story of Yu Il-han [played by Kim], a materialistic musical director who aims for big shot of his life by participating in an audition project with Young-kwang [played by child actor Ji Dae-han], a contestant whose possibility of winning is less than a percent.
“There were lots of obstacles during the shooting but we've finally made it. I hope the movie would turn out beautifully after all the hardships we've went through,” Kim showed his expectation for the movie in the statement.
Co-starring actors Lee Kwang-soo, Lee Seong-min and actress Jo An, the touching story will undergo the post production and is likely to open in local theaters in November.
