Korean actor Jang Dong-gun and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi attended a press conference at the coveted Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, in local time, to promote their film "Dangerous Liaisons."
The "Gentleman's Dignity" star and Zhang met with international media outlets at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, and the pair were spotted whispering to each other during the event.
Set in Shanghai's 1930s, "Dangerous Liaisons" is Korean director Hur Jin-ho's Chinese-language adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos' classic French novel.
Showing what the upper class society was like in China in the 1930s, the film has also been picked up for U.S. distribution by Well Go USA.
Hur's version of this oft-told tale is much anticipated in Korea as well, as it was invited to the 65th Festival De Cannes held in Cannes, France from May 16 to 27, as well as the 17th Busan International Film Festival that will kick off its 10-day run in Korea from October 4.
The story of Jang and Zhang's romance will be revealed in local theaters on October 11.
