Jang Keun-suk hits over 5 mln followers on Weibo

Jang Keun-suk has become the first non-Chinese star to secure over five million followers on his official Weibo account, the Chinese version of Twitter.

According to the actor's Weibo account Tuesday morning, over 5,017,000 people, most of whom are Jang's devoted fans curious about his everyday life, are following the star.

In June, the "Love Rain" actor hosted an online interview with his fans on Weibo to directly communicate with his fans. Officials from Jang's agency, Tree J. Company, said this morning that he received a total of 312,578 questions during the event online.

Jang made his debut at the early age of five as a catalog model and shot to stardom in Asia by starring SBS’ hit TV series “He’s Beautiful” (2009) alongside actress Park Shin-hye, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa and FTIsland’s Lee Hong-ki.

He has also been pursuing his singing career as a member of K-pop duo Team H.

In the meantime, he will hold the Shanghai leg of his Asia tour "THE CRI SHOW 2" on August 11 and take the show to Taipei, Taiwan on September 1 and 2, respectively.
