f(x) to take "Hot Summer" to Japan next month

K-pop female idols f(x) will heat up the summer season in Japan by releasing "Hot Summer" ringtone.

An official from SM Entertainment rep told the magazine in a phone interview Thursday that the Japanese version of f(x)'s "Hot Summer" ringtone will become available in the country next month.

"f(x) will first meet their fans in Japan with the ringtone but the date of its release is still in discussions as well as their official debut in Japan," the official added.

Last month, the girls hinted on the new official Japanese website that they were gearing up to expand their singing careers into Japan.

"Hot Summer" is the title track listed in the repackaged version of their first full-length album "PINOCCHIO" released last year.

The song has placed within the top tier of various online music charts and helped the girls score several wins on major televised music programs.
