XIA, a member of K-pop trio band JYJ, is getting ready to kickstart the next chapter in his career by working hand in hand with acknowledged professionals in the American music industry.
XIA's agency C-JeS Entertainment said in a press release Thursday that he has been staying in Los Angeles to record a song in English for the repackaged album of "Tarantallegra."
A composer of the new track is Sony Music Entertainment’s Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer, who has collaborated with many world-renowned artists such as Christina Aguilera, The Wanted, and Leona Lewis.
“Seeing XIA sing with sincerity, I was totally impressed by him. It is happy to work with him,” composer “Automatic” was quoted as saying in the statement.
For the music video, XIA will team up with famous American director Marc Klasfeld, who has shot many projects by top artists including Beyonce, Eminem and Jay-z.
The officials added that the director is looking forward to working with him, as he was surprised with XIA's previous performances as well as acting skills.
Bringing more good news to his die-hard fans abroad, he will release the new international album next month, but its title and genre have yet to be disclosed.
After wrapping up his first solo Asia tour with the last stop in Hong Kong next month, he will hit the road to launch the world tour by the end of August.
