Big Bang, SISTAR rank at No. 1 on YouTube's mid-year K-pop charts

YouTube, the world's biggest video sharing website, has opened up the local and global top ten most-watched K-pop music videos in the first half of 2012.

On the global K-pop music video chart, Big Bang won big by placing four of their latest singles in the top ten.

"FANTASTIC BABY," which is undeniably one of the most popular hits so far this year, grabbed the top spot, beating out TTS's "TWINKLE" and f(x)'s "Electric Shock."

Additionally, the five-member group's "BLUE" and "BAD BOY" ranked at No. 3 and No. 5 as well.

Meanwhile, YouTube's domestic K-pop chart showed a fierce competition among girl groups.

SISTAR's "Alone" was shown as the most-watched music video according to YouTube's mid-year report, followed by TTS's "TWINKLE" and Wonder Girls' "Like This" sitting at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

As the two group's feat on the website strongly suggests, the popularity of Big Bang and SISTAR is growing every year with continuous efforts of the artists.

Big Bang released the special edition album "STILL ALIVE" last month which includes new five tunes and four original tracks of the previous mini-album, "ALIVE."

Meanwhile, SISTAR recently made their comeback with summer album "LOVING U," ruling various TV and online music charts such as KBS' "Music Bank" and Gaon's single chart last week.
