Top female group 2NE1 received a big praise for their newly released single, “I LOVE YOU,” on American music magazine SPIN's pop blog.
The SPIN's website showed their admiration on 2NE1's "I LOVE YOU," which dominated all online music charts after its release on Thursday, by starting the article with the first sentence, “We love them.”
The website's piece posted on Thursday described the girls' single as, "a stone doozy, a perfect summation of pop's present and future: those Guetta-style soccer-riot synths glowing and pulsing, ghostly background vocals creating smoke around the neon, and a stuttering Ke$ha-gone-"Stay Fly" rap in English."
The famed magazine have acknowledged 2NE1's talent with the epithet "K-Pop Heroes" after their past releases sat at top spots on the website's music charts last year.
2NE1's second mini-album ranked at No.6 on SPIN's 20 Best Pop Albums of 2011 chart, while their hit single "I AM THE BEST" grabbed the No. 3 spot and "UGLY" from the second mini-album scored the No. 9 spot on SPIN's The 21 Greatest K-Pop Songs of All Time chart.
2NE1, formed of CL, Park Bom, Sandara Park and Minzy, made their official debut by dropping the mega-hit single "FIRE" in May 2009.
The four girls will stage the first live performance of “I LOVE YOU” on SBS’ “Inkigayo” on July 8. Along with their comeback, the group is to kick off their world tour, "NEW EVOLUTION," which will be held in ten cities in seven countries starting with the Seoul leg on July 28 and 29.
