Kim Jeong-hoon, who is strengthening his foothold in acting and singing, will make an appearance in a Chinese documentary on CCTV, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Korea and China's diplomatic ties.
His agency, Mersenne Entertainment, said in a press release that he will be a star interviewee in“The Miracle of Hangang ? Intangible Hands” (translated title), which aims to seek ways to bring Korea and China's relationship closer through cultural platforms.
In the non-fiction film, Kim has been set to show his everyday life as a Hallyu star and speak out his own perspective about the Korean culture market.
"Kim's popularity in China has soared after his drama "Goong" gained a huge success here. As he is pursuing his activity both as a singer and an actor, we figured he could well express Korea's entertainment business," a CCTV official said in the statement.
The documentary will air a total of three showings on CCTV9 for three weeks starting August 24, the firm added.
Kim has been taking a pause from his acting career and is preparing to release a new album next month and set off his first Asia tour on September 15.
