A duet song featuring K-pop idols G.O. and Mir of boy band MBLAQ will be released next week, their agency J.Tune Camp revealed in a press release on Monday.
G.O. and Mir's first-ever duet song "'THE BLAQ% TOUR PART 1. G.O&MIR Wild" will be unveiled through music distribution websites on June 27.
The agency said the two idol stars will not perform the song on televised music programs but fans who come to watch the first leg of MBLAQ's Asia tour, dubbed "THE BLAQ% TOUR," in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 30, will be able to see the duo's first live performance together.
"Though G.O. and Mir are releasing a duet song, this song not considered as a part of the two's previously announced unit activities. The song is just their way of giving their fans a taste of their upcoming concert," an official with J.Tune was quoted as saying.
The rep then explained that the revealed tune is just the first from two songs to be revealed to the public before kicking off the show, and the second song will be unveiled on a later date.
In April, the two idol stars were scheduled to begin their activities as a duo but plans were pushed back due to G.O. being cast in SBS' "Phantom."
Composed of Seung-ho, G.O., Lee Joon, Cheon-dung and Mir, MBLAQ made their debut with the first single "JUST BLAQ" in 2009. The boys have several hit songs under their belt including "Oh Yeah," "Y," "Stay" and “Mona Lisa.”
