Korean idol Kim Junsu of trio JYJ will release his first full-length solo album next month, according to his agency C-JeS Entertainment on Monday.
"Kim will make his comeback to the local music scene as a solo artist with his album which will drop sometime in May and then embark on his very own Asia tour the same month," a rep with C-JeS told 10Asia over the phone.
The official explained that Kim's album will list songs of different genres such as ballads, dance tunes and R&B, which he took part in producing himself.
Additionally, he will promote his upcoming release with his tour that will kick off in Seoul sometime in late May and continue onto Thailand, Macau, Taiwan, Indonesia and Shanghai till July.
Kim is currently a member of singing trio JYJ, formerly part of boy band TVXQ. He made his debut as a musical actor with the lead role in "Mozart" and then in "Tears in Heaven" and recently in "Das Musical ELISABETH."
As a member of JYJ, Kim will take part in a large-scale exhibition "2012 JYJ Membership Week" where they will take part in various activities with their fans from June 28 to July 1.
