A TV series starring top Korean actor Song Seung-heon and JYJ member Kim Jaejoong will soon begin shooting, according to a press release from the show's promoter 3HW.
On Wednesday, 3HW said that Song and Kim will start filming MBC drama titled "Time Slip Dr. Jin" on April 15 as soon as the other cast members are set.
The firm also explained that they are still in discussions with MBC on its air date but it is likely to be in either June or July.
"Time Slip Dr. Jin" tells the story of Dr. Jin (Song), a cold-hearted doctor who was born into a doctor’s family.
Through magical powers he travels back to 1860 in the Joseon Dynasty and starts developing medicines to save people from dying. In the story, Kim will play a military officer.
The upcoming series is based on a Japanese cartoon by famous scriptwriter Murakami Motoka, which has also been adopted as a Japanese drama, titled "Jin," in 2009.
