Korean actress Ryu Hyun-kyung and actor Ha Jung-woo were invited to a film festival happening in Japan next month, Ryu's agency MGB Entertainment said in a report on Wednesday.
MGB said in a press release that Ryu and Ha will attend the festivities at the 4th annual Beppu Hot Spring Next Generation Film Festival of Korea and Japan for three days starting March 2 in Oita.
The firm explained that Ryu will screen her previous works such as "Petty Romance," "The Story of Bangja," "Cyrano Agency" and two short films in which she directed herself.
"I am honored to have a chance to attend this film festival and I feel that I have a sense of responsibility for spreading Korean cinema overseas," Ryu said in the statement.
Other notable Korean stars, such as actor Kim Soo-yong, and directors Yoon Jong-bin and Jun Chae-hong will attend the event alongside Ryu and Ha.
