"Ojakgyo Brothers" and "Moon" duke it out on weekly TV charts

KBS' family drama "Ojakgyo Brothers" and MBC's historical series "The Moon Embracing the Sun" fought for the No. 1 spot on weekly TV charts during the first week of February.

"Ojakgyo," starring Joo Won and UIE, scored its 21st win and was the week's most-watched program with an average viewership rating of 31.1 percent, according to TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Monday.

This week's episode focused on how Shim Gap-yeon (Kim Yong-rim) finally gave her permission for Tae-hee (Joo Won) and Ja-eun (UIE) to get married.

"Moon" put up a strong fight but ranked in second with a mean score of 29.5 percent followed by KBS' daily series "My One and Only" in third place with an average rating of 22.4 percent.

However, AGB Nielsen Media's weekly survey revealed that the top show in the country was "Moon," starring Kim Soo-hyun, Han Ga-in and Jung Il-woo, with viewership ratings of 35.8 percent.

KBS' "Ojakgyo Brothers" was the No. 2 show on AGB's poll with an average rating of 30.8 percent and "My One and Only" rounded out the top three shows with ratings of 22.7 percent.
