SBS' variety show "Running Man" has been sold to nine countries in Asia, according to a press release from SBS Contents Hub.
On Thursday, SBS said in a press release that "Running Man" was purchased by Taiwan, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia.
"The popularity of 'Running Man' has increased since it first aired and we have been receiving many inquiries about the show from other countries outside of Asia," an official with SBS Contents Hub said in the statement.
"Running Man," which airs every Sunday night as part of entertainment program "Good Sunday," focuses on the race between Korean celebrities Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Seok-jin, Kim Jong-kook, Ha Ha, Gary, Lee Kwang-soo and Song Ji-hyo.
They have shot episodes in Thailand and China and have had several guest stars including 2PM's Nichkhun, actress Kim Min-jung, Lee Yeon-hee and KARA's Kang Ji-young take part in the show.
