SBS' TV series "The Warrior Baek Dong-soo" came to an end this week, finishing its three-month run atop the Monday and Tuesday primetime lineup.
Research firm TNS Media Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed on Wednesday that "Baek Dong-soo," starring Ji Chang-wook and Yoo Seung-ho, brought in viewership ratings of 17.8 and 17.9 percent, respectively, during its final episode on October 10.
The finale showed the death of Yeo-woo (Yoo) after he throws himself on Baek Dong-soo's (Ji) sword during their last fight.
New series "Thousand Days Promise," starring Kim Rae-won and Soo-ae, will take over the Monday and Tuesday spot starting next week.
In the meantime, MBC's historical saga "Gyebaek" saw a slight rise on both TV charts with viewership ratings in the ten to 12 percent range.
