Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk and Girls' Generation member Yoona started shooting their upcoming TV series, according to the show's promoter Tree J. Company.
On Monday, Tree J. announced in a press release that shooting began for “Love Rain” (tentative title) in the city of Daegu over the weekend.
The scene they shot was of Seo In-ha (Jang) and Kim Yoon-hee (Yoona) from when they are in the 1970s.
"Love Rain," a collaboration between famed director Yoon Suk-ho and scenarist Oh Soo-yeon who have worked on hit series "Autumn Tale" and "Winter Sonata," tells the story of how Seo In-ha will do anything for Kim Yoon-hee during the 1970s.
The series, also starring actor Kim Si-ho, actresses So Eun-seo and Hwang Bora and singer Seo In-guk, will compare relationships from the 1970s to the present time and is slated to make its premiere during the first half of next year.
"I feel that I was able to show the preparations that I made for 'Love Rain' in the scenes that we shot at the school campus and director Yoon and the staff did a great job portraying the light and different angles," Jang was quoted as saying.
"I too feel like I was able to complete the first shoot with the directions that Yoon gave us and it was a great start for our series," Yoona said in the press release.
