MBC’s historical series “The Duo” continued to remain a winner on the Mondays and Tuesdays primetime slot for third week, as shown by the findings of two media research companies on Wednesday.
“The Duo” starring Chun Jung-myung, Lee Sang-yun and Han Ji-hye scored average viewership ratings of 14.1 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics' (TNmS) poll and 16.5 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research's (AGB) survey, showing a slight improvement in figures from the past week.
In this week’s episodes, Gwi-dong (Lee) falls into agony after learning the secret behind his birth. Feeling sorry for his best friend Chun-dung (Chun) whose fate got switched with him, he rejects his mother Mak-soon who became rich after tricking dying old man Lee.
SBS series “Midas” starring Jang Hyuk, Kim Hee-ae and Lee Min-jung, which came second, yielded an average viewership rating of 10.9 percent on TNmS’s chart and 12.7 percent on AGB’s poll, revealing a slight dip of less of one percent from last week.
Conglomerate daughter Yoo In-hye suddenly joins hands with her rival half-brother Sung-joon (Yoon Je-mun) in taking over HanYoung Bank. Do-hyun, who had worked for Yoo, gets arrested after getting the blame for illegal lobbying.
KBS drama “Detectives In Trouble” led by Song Il-gook, Song Ji-hyo and Lee Jong-hyuk, continued to trail behind with an average viewership rating of 8.3 percent and 7.7 percent on TNmS and AGB’s data, respectively.
Detective Jin Mi-sook (SunWoo Sun) dies trying to rescue teenage girl Han So-young from a fire. Other detectives manage to find out that another high school girl named Lee So-min (Woo ri) was behind the fire as well as school violence but girl shows no remorse for her action.
