KBS drama “Smile Again” took over the weekly TV chart once again, remaining the nation’s most watched show for the fifth week in a row, according to the findings by two major media research companies on Monday.
“Smile Again,” starring Ji Chang-wook, Do Ji-won and Oh Ji-eun, scored an average viewership rating of 38.6 percent on Total National Multimedia Research’s (TNmS) chart and 37.7 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll.
Last week’s episode showed Yoon Sae-wa (played by Park Jung-A) finding out that Dong-hae’s (Ji) mother Anna (Do) was the long-lost daughter of Hotel Camellia’s chairman and schemes to take advantage of the situation once again.
KBS weekend drama “My Love My Family,” took second place on the chart for fifth consecutive week as well, after yielding an average viewership rating of 23.9 percent on the survey by TNmS.
The episodes on Saturday and Sunday highlighted housewife Kim Young-hee (Moon Jung-hee) being given a chance to debut as a script writer after being in much pain and looked down on and picked on by her husband for many years.
KBS 9 o’clock News ranked in third place for the third straight week with an average viewership rating of 21 percent.
Meanwhile, on AGB’s finding, SBS drama “Sign” took the No.2 spot with an average viewership of 23.6 percent followed by “My Love My Family” at No.3 with 23.4 percent.
Other shows that appeared on the top 10 of both charts were KBS drama “Dream High,” MBC drama “Flames of Desire,” “MBC Star Audition,” “Gag Concert” and “World Changing Quiz.”
