“The Story Only I Didn’t Know,” from songstress IU’s latest album, remained on the top of Gaon's singles chart another week from February 20 to 26.
“The Story…,” a tearful ballad composed by another singer Yoon Sang, is the title track to IU’s third mini plus album “Real +” released late last month.
“TONIGHT,” an electronica dance number by boy band Big Bang, debuted second on the latest Gaon chart.
The song, the title track to the group’s fourth mini-album released last week, is the first album by the band in two years composed of various hip-hop, house and dance tunes.
Ballad group 8eight member Lee Hyun's “Best Of Mine” reached third on the chart after climbing four steps from the previous week.
Meanwhile on the albums chart, Girls’ Generation’s second repackaged album “Run Devil Run” released in March of last year came out on top.
The repackaged version contains a total 15 tracks that include the girl group’s previous hit songs such as “Gee,” “Genie” and “Oh!”
Next on the list was the original soundtrack to TV series “He’s Beautiful” (SBS, 2009) that starred Jang Keun-suk, Park Shin-hye, Lee Hong-ki and Jung Yong-hwa, which is about a girl disguised as her twin brother to join a boy band. The show was a big hit at the time, receiving favorable reviews both at home and overseas.
Five-member classical music band Ensemble Ditto’s first regular album “Ditto Hits” bowed at No.3 on the chart.
The band is currently composed of violist Richard Yongjae O‘Neill, pianist Ji-Yong and violinists Stefan Jackiw and Sato Shunsuke.
