Actor Kim Jae-won to be discharged from army on Jan 24

Actor Kim Jae-won will be discharged from his two-year mandatory military service next week, announced Dazzle Entertainment on Thursday.

Dazzle, which will be Kim’s new agency, revealed through press release today that Kim, who has served at the Defense Media Agency of the National Defense Ministry for the past 22 months will be discharged from his post on January 24.

Some 200 fans are expected to gather in front the Defense Media Agency's office in Yongsan to welcome Kim’s return.

Kim plans to make officially greet his fans starting through a fan meeting in Osaka of Japan on February 19 and 20.

Kim, 29, debuted in 2001 through SBS’ sitcom “Honey Honey” and rose to fame through teacher-student romance drama “Romance” (MBC, 2002).

Since then he has starred in many other romantic series including “Rival” (SBS, 2002), “My Darling Patzzi” (MBC, 2002) and “Wonderful Life” (MBC, 2005) and also in comic romance film “100 Days With Mr. Arrogant” (2004) with actress Ha Ji-won.

His latest project was KBS' historical drama “Hwang Jini” which he again co-starred in with Ha in 2006.
