Korean female idols Girls' Generation were crowned winners on a televised music program over the weekend, placing at the No. 1 spot once again with their latest song "Hoot."
The nine-member girl group received their third consecutive Mutizen Award on SBS' Sunday music show "Inkigayo" with “Hoot.”
"We really want to say thanks to our fans for always supporting us and we wish Tiffany a fast recovery so that she can take the stage with us," the members said in their acceptance speech.
Composed of other members Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, Girls' Generation have been topping numerous online and offline music charts with their new hit "Hoot" from their third mini-album of the same name.
Meanwhile, KBS' Friday music program "Music Bank" did not air due to the country being in a state of grievance after North Korea fired over scores of artillery shells at a South Korean island near the border in the Yellow Sea on Tuesday, killing two soldiers and two civilians and injuring dozens of others.
