Korea’s Acclaimed Stars to Fly to Tokyo to Promote Home-grown TV Dramas

Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun will visit Tokyo to promote his slash-hit TV series “The Moon Embracing the Sun” (MBC, 2012).The up-and-coming actor is set to host promotional events for the period-set drama on January 8th and 9th next year according to KEYEAST, the firm representing Kim. Having made its premiere on Japan’s satellite broadcast KNTV in August, “Moon” will hit the airwaves on Japan’s major broadcaster NHK as a Sunday primetime series from next January 20. Co-starring actor Jung Il-woo and actress Han Ga-in, the historical fiction is a love story between the king of the Joseon Dynasty and a female shaman. Meanwhile, actor Jung Woo-sung and actress Han Ji-min also announced their plan to hold a large-scale promotion event for “Padam Padam” (JTBC, 2011-2012) at Merpark Hall in Tokyo, Japan next January 27.The upcoming event will mark the fantasy melodrama`s release on DVD in the country on December 5 and 19. Penned by famed scenarist Noh Hee-kyung of KBS’ drama “Worlds Within” (2008), “Padam Padam” follows the story of a man released from prison after 16 years for a murder that he did not commit.
