Asia's Biggest Film Fest Lifts Lid Off

South Korea’s port city Busan will soon be back in the limelight in the world cinema stage again with Asia's biggest and most prominent film festival opening next month.Marking its 17th edition, Korea's Busan International Film Festival will kick off its ten-day event with Leung Longman and Sunny Luck's opening pic "Cold War" in Busan, South Korea on October 4. Bangladeshi director Mostafa Farooki's "Television" was chosen to close the curtains after the festivity of 304 films invited from 75 countries ends.The event is a perfect chance for fans to see renowned actors and directors from around the world in the flesh. During the festival, French actress Agnes Jaoui, Japanese actor Kase Ryo, Korean actor Jang Dong-gun and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi will visit Busan to bring their movies to attention.Meanwhile, Chinese sweetheart Tang Wei and Korean veteran actor Ahn Sung-ki will mark the grand opening of the 17th BIFF set to be held at the Busan Cinema Center [BCC] on October 4.After wrapping up its ten-day journey into the movie world, the film festival will close with hosts Korean director Bang Eun-jin and actor Lee Je-hoon at the BCC on October 13. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
