Girl's Day member Hyeri to make acting debut in SBS weekend series

Hyeri from K-pop female idol group Girl's Day will make her acting debut in an upcoming SBS weekend series, according to her agency Dream T Entertainment. Dream T said in a press release on Friday that Hyeri will play the role of the youngest daughter of a family, Jang Mi-hyun, in the new drama "Father and Daughter" (translated title) set to air every weekend starting April 21. "Father and Daughter," helmed by Woon Goon-il, draws the story about a Korean chef's four daughters' love affairs. Actors Im Chae-moo, Yun Jung-hee, Yoo Dae-hee and Park Yoon-jae also joined the cast for the show."Even though this is Hyeri's first time acting, we felt that she had what it takes to pull off the role of Mi-hyun," an official with the show was quoted as saying.
