Korean girl group KARA has added another accolade to their long list of accomplishments in Japan, having their second full-length Japanese album become certified platinum.KARA's "Super Girl" reached platinum status after selling over 400,000 copies since going on sale in the country on November 23, according to the December data released by the Japanese Record Association.The girls sold 275,206 editions of “Super Girl” during the first week and topped Oricon's daily, weekly and month music charts.So far, the girls have obtained gold disc status with their albums "Girl's Talk," “KARA BEST 2007-2010” and DVD "KARA BEST CLIPS."KARA, composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market.In the meantime, KARA will be taking part in NHK's 62nd music special "Red & White Song Battle" along with Girls' Generation and TVXQ which will take place on December 31.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
