On August 28, in weather so hot that is was hard to believe it was 9 a.m., idol stars wearing a variety of t-shirts in groups, walked across the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex where the "3rd Idol Star Athletics Competition" was going to take place. And although the heat was enough to make one sweat even when at a standstill, they got to "throw off killer heels and heel inserts" for the first so they did not tire out even when the show's producer asked them, "I'm sorry. Let's go one more time with the scene where everyone enters." The ones who rather seemed solemn, as if watching the Olympics, were their fans who would watch them compete. B1A4's fans in particular, who had silently been looking at the tracks, chanted "B1A4!" in unison as the games got ready to begin. And the first ones that appeared amidst such cheering was Boom, who transformed into Stevie Wonder and Super Junior's Lee Teuk, Eunhyuk and Shindong. After making remarks such as "Please hand me the drumsticks" (Boom) or "The amp please" (Lee Teuk), they made people laugh by making exaggerated gestures in time with the MR.In the meantime, anchorman Oh Sang-jin and TV personality Kim Jae-dong showed they were exhausted by constantly saying, "We're envious of the people sitting under the shade," but the heat did not seem to bother commentator Yoon Yeo-choon who rather encouraged the idol stars entering the 100 meter race with remarks such as "You can get better times for short-distance games when temperatures are high." Then when the participants stood at the starting line, a subtle nervousness could be detected. SHINee's Minho, who scored triple gold last time, delivered his brief yet strong determination to win by saying, "I feel the pressure but I'll still run hard" while ZE:A's Dong-jun, who had won the 50 meter race, in a haughty manner said he'd run "while loosening up" his body. On the other hand, SISTAR's Hyolin, who was told she was "dressed as if she got into her lane right after helping her parents for Korea's Thanksgiving holidays," shouted our, "Let me appear on 'We Got Married' if I win! I'd like to go on it with Boom!" Of course, in the midst of all this, participants like ZE:A's Hwang Kwang-hee, unconcerned with winning, continued to stay his funny self and smilingly made comments such as, "I'll smile while I'm running. There's no reason to make viewers unhappy when it's Thanksgiving." So are you curious which of these idol stars placed their name on the hall of fame? Yet then again, like the placard that said, 'A-PINK, go for the one-shot on the camera rather than first place!,' the 'actual' winner of this interesting competition may be the one who gets the longest solo take on a camera.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
