Park Gyulee of female idol band KARA said today that she overcame the recent turmoil her group underwent with conviction and love. Park made the remark on Thursday during a press conference for animated picture "Alpha and Omega" in which she voices the role of female wolf Kate, when asked about her thoughts on the issue."We face many difficulties in life but I'll be able to overcome whatever hardship as long as I have a strong conviction and the people who love me by my side," Park explained. She then added, "I want to apologize to those of you who were worried and affected by this ordeal. We will work harder to become a better group." On January 19, KARA members Han Seungyeon, Kang Jiyoung and Nicole had announced they will split from their agency DSP Media for various reasons amounting to them having lost their trust in the agency. The three have yet to reach a resolution with DSP but after a couple of discussions, the two parties agreed to cooperate on fulfilling the contracts and schedules which have already been set and that KARA would continue to stay a five-member group. The girls officially resumed their activities last week, starting by flying into Japan to film their TV series "URAKARA," a 12-part series where the girls appear as spies with a special mission to win over the men of their dreams. "Alpha and Omega," helmed by director Anthony Bell and Ben Gluck, tells of the adventure of two wolves who struggle to find their way back home after being stranded in an unfamiliar place. The Korean voice-over version also features Shindong from boy band Super Junior who lent his voice as Humphrey, the omega-male and lowest rank of the wolf pack. "Alpha and Omega" is set to open in local theaters on February 24. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
