Actress Lim to star in Thai short film

Actress Lim Soo-jung will play the main role in Thai short film "Phuket". [NOA Entertainment]

Popular actress Lim Soo-jung will appear as the main star in a Thai short film, her agency said on Monday.Lim's agency N.O.A. Entertainment said in a press release that the 26-year-old actress will star alongside famed Thai actor Sorapong Chatree in "Phuket", aboutthe friendship which develops between a young Korean actress who visits Thailand on vacation and a hotel limousine driver in the country."Phuket" was directed by Thai indie director Aditya Assarat who picked up a total of 10 awards at the Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) in 2007 and took the titles for Best Film and Best Director at the Subhanahonga National Film Festival last year.The film finished shooting in August and will premiere at this year's PIFF set for opening on October 8.After debuting as a model in 1998, Lim became widely known with horror film "A Tale of Two Sisters" and later won multiple awards with TV series "Sorry I Love You" in which she starred opposite top actor So Ji-sub.Jessica Kim jesskim@asiae.co.kr<ⓒ10Asia All rights reserved>
