Boy band Big Bang, girl group SISTAR and Taiwanese singer Wang Leehom have added their names to a list of entertainers who will perform at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards [MAMA].
According to organizers, Big Bang, SISTAR and Wang will attend the 2012 MAMA that will open at Hong Kong’s Convention & Exhibition Centre on November 30.
This certainly adds more excitement to an already impressive lineup of pop sensation PSY and K-pop icon Super Junior.
Big Bang, who is undoubtedly one of the most spotlighted K-pop acts this year, has been touring around the world for their first world tour “ALIVE GALAXY TOUR 2012.”
SISTAR too made a huge leap in 2012 with “Alone” and “Loving U," which are lead singles from their albums released this year. The girls also held their first exclusive concert "Femme Fatal" last September with a crowd of some 8,000 fans.
Wang, a multi-talented star in singing, songwriting and acting, is best known for playing a revolutionist in director Ang Lee's erotic drama "Lust, Caution" (2007).
MAMA, one of the biggest music events in Asia, has brought a string of named K-pop artists such as Girls' Generation, 2NE1, Super Junior and BEAST, since its establishment in 2009. American musicians Will.i.am, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg also joined last year’s show hosted in Singapore.
