PSY has made a giant leap to No. 2 from No. 11 on Billboard music chart.
The 36-year-old rapper-singer, who has been sweeping countless international music charts with his smash-hit tune "Gangnam Style," is writing a new record by sitting at No. 2 after the chart-topper Maroon 5's "One More Night" on Billboard Hot 100.
"Everything's going too fast you know. So i didn't have any breathing moment to realize what's going on and what is going on here," he said in a recent interview with Billboard.
PSY's achievement on the chart is the highest record logged by Korean artists of all time and a surprising one even for American artists as he flew over 62 slots from No. 64 just two weeks ago.
With his invisible horseback riding moves, the "Champion" singer also jumped from No. 4 to No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart.
Critics say the "Gangnam Style" craze could be just the beginning of what is more to come, adding that PSY perching atop Billboard Hot 100 with the worldwide hit single could happen sooner than expected.
