KARA's Gu Hara wants BEAST's Yong Jun-hyung to surprise her with events

Korean female idol Gu Hara of KARA spoke out about how she wants her boyfriend, Yong Jun-hyung of BEAST, to surprise her with events.

On Tuesday's episode of SBS variety show "Strong Heart," host Shin Dong-yup asked Gu how she is doing with her boyfriend and if he has ever done anything special for her during their relationship.

Gu surprised other guest stars and the audience by saying, "No. But I would want him to do something nice or special for me because I am a girl. And what girl doesn't want her boyfriend to surprise her with special events? But we don't get to see each other or go on dates as much because we are both very busy."

Shin then said, "I'm sure it's not uncomfortable for the two of you to go out on dates since you went public about your relationship. You should be confident and just do it."

Gu then jokingly shot back by asking the host whether he has ever been open about his relationship, referring to his former celebrity girlfriend, and Shin was taken aback by her response.

In late June last year, paparazzi shots of Gu and Yong dating were revealed by a local media outlet and the pair immediately admitted to their romantic relationship.

Gu is one of the vocalists and rappers of highly popular female K-pop group KARA, which debuted in 2007. The girls are currently promoting their dance track "PANDORA," the title song off the fifth mini-album of the same name that went on sale on August 22.
