K-pop boy band ZE:A and Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo will represent Korea at a singing competition in China, according to their respective agencies Tuesday.
A rep with Star Empire Entertainment told the magazine in a phone interview that ZE:A will compete alongside other singers who have released albums in Korea, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand on Shanghai TV's "Asian Wave" set to air on September 5 and 6.
"Asian Wave" is the Chinese version of a singing program which is similar to Korea's survival singing programs MBC’s "I Am a Singer" and Mnet’s "The Voice."
"ZE:A is preparing for their upcoming performance and it will be mostly all band music," the Star Empire rep said, adding that the boys might perform their new single "Phoenix," which is set to drop on August 27.
Meanwhile, Lee's agency announced that the "T.O.P" singer was appointed as one of the first round judges for "Asian Wave" with Chinese singer Sunnan and Japanese Bossa nova songstress Lisa Ono.
